Getting off the plane, not knowing too much German language, at the sweet age of 17, it was the first part of the new me...
I though it would be a quick stay in "the Old Land", and then back to the "Great White North" to get a job and bla bla....(Dad was saying that a german Apprenticeship would bring me lotsa more $$$ in Canada than a canadian Apprenticeship.)
My Aunt and Uncle greeting me at FFM airport, me with my german/english dictionary in one hand, a cigarette in the other, them clapping thier hands over thier heads saying "oh sheiße, ob daß wohl gut geht??"......
I got through it, 2 years of apprenticeship, passing the final examination and recieving my "Gesellenbrief"
even though my german was (and still is) terrible. I got a good job at a good company, grinding mills (Werkzeug-schleifer)
which IŽve been doing since then....
In the mean time, IŽve been married, but am now living sepparated from the Mrs. It hasnŽt been easy.... IŽve tried to find a new mate, with no real sucess. Perhaps I must first lose the "look of the hunter"..
I must say that IŽm happy too though, that IŽve not met somee girl who tells me she loves me because she thinks I wish to hear these words..(I find it difficult going to discos and "discotieren" because the tunes are usually so damned loud, you donŽt understand your own thoughts..):-)>
Anyway, in one week, I will be turning 30!!! OH SHIT!!!! I think about things... wunder if I have achieved the goals I have set for myself, the things I wished to do by the time I reached old age (30). I have found a new job.... I just have to pass the medical test and I have it... I donŽt want to be doing this job I have right now, the next 35 years till IŽm old enough to go into pension.
Is there anybody else out there who had a hard time (or too is having a hard time) getting older, wundering if all is alright?
I would like to thank the people (Very nice/friendly people) that I have met here: Tendrick, Noéldis, etc.... Your little words of support have helped me alot... That is why I replied to your postings...

Noéldis: Thank you for saying my words were/had helping/helped you somewhat...It gave me a feeling of appretiation that IŽve long not felt... I hope that you are feeling better (you havenŽt posted much lately, so I think you are off to a better start..) Halt die Ohren steif...
