Ist nicht von mir, sondern von Elton John, aber seit ich denken kann, eines der schönsten Liebeslieder, die ich jemals gehört habe - heute war mir so danach, das mal kundzutun :-)
YOUR SONG
It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside,
I'm not one of those, who can easily hide,
I don't have much money, but boy if i did,
I'd buy a big house where we both could live.
If i was a sculptor, but then again no,
Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show,
I know it's not much, but it's the best i can do,
My gift is my song and this one's for you.
And you can tell everybody, this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done,
I hope you don't mind, i hope you don't mind
That i put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in this world
I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well a few of the verses, well they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while i wrote this song.
It's for people like you, that keep it turned on.
So excuse me forgetting, but these things i do
You see i've forgotten, if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is, what i really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes i've ever seen.
Am besten gefällt mir die Coverversion von Al Jarreau - schade, daß man hier keine Melodien posten kann ;-)

"We've Got Tonight" By Bob Seger
I know it's late I know you're weary
I know you're plans don't include me
Still here we are both of us lonely
Longing for shelter from all that we see
Why should we worry no one will care girl
Look at the stars so far away
We've got tonight who needs tomorrow
We've got tonight babe why don't you stay
Deep in my soul I've been so lonely
All of my hopes fading away
I've longed for love like everyone else does
I know I'll keep searching even after today
So there it is girl I've said it all now
And here we are babe what do you say
We've got tonight who needs tomorrow
We've got tonight babe why don't you stay
I know it's late I know you're weary
I know you're plans don't include me
Still here we are both of us lonely
Both of us lonely
We've got tonight who needs tomorrow
Lets make it last lets find a way
Turn out the light come take my hand now
We've got tonight babe why don't you stay
We've got tonight who needs tomorrow
Lets make it last lets find a way
Turn out the light come take my hand now
We've got tonight babe why don't you stay
We've got tonight who needs tomorrow
Lets make it last lets find a way
Turn out the light come take my hand now
We've got tonight babe why don't you stay
Why don't you stay

P.S. Woher stammt eigentlich dein Nick bzw. was bedeutet er ?? Kenne eine Almitra aus meinem Lieblingsbuch... |

(zitat)After me
Marillion
There's a line on her jeans, that a ballpoint made
From a careless mistake, that she can't wash away
And there's a heart on her sleeve, from a spill of red wine
There's a piece of green in the blue of her eyes
She named it after me
There's a stay dog she feeds, that she found in the street
And he loves her to hold him, but he won't let her keep him
And he claws at the door to be let out at night
And she makes do without him, and she worries about him
She named him after me
So if you ever decide, that you have to escape
And travel the world, and you can't find a place
Well, you could wind up believin'
That paradise is nothin' more than a feelin'
That goes on in your mind
So if ever find out what that is
There's somethin' you could do
'Cause if I ever hold that golden dream again
I want to tell you
[I'm gonna name it after you](/zitat)

(zitat)get here
Oleta Adams
You can reach me by railway, you can reach me by trailway
You can reach me on an airplane, you can reach me with your mind
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can
You can reach me by sail boat, climb a tree and swing rope to rope
Take a sled and slide down the slope, into these arms of mine
You can jump on a speedy colt, cross the border in a blaze of hope
I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can
There are hills and mountains between us
Always something to get over
If I had my way, surely you would be closer
I need you closer
You can windsurf into my life, take me up on a carpet ride
You can make it in a big balloon, but you better make it soon
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just - get here if you can
I don't care how you get here, just -- get here if - you can.(/zitat)

(zitat)Perfect blue buildings
Counting crows
Just down the street from your hotel, baby
I stay at home with my disease
And ain't this position familiar, darling
Well, all monkeys do what they see
Help me stay awake, I'm falling...
Down on Virginia and La Loma
Where I got friends who'll care for me
You got an attitude of everything I ever wanted
I got an attitude of need
Help me stay awake, I'm falling...
Asleep in perfect blue buildings
Beside the green apple sea
Gonna get me a little oblivion
Try to keep myself away from me
It's 4:30 A.M. on a Tuesday
It doesn't get much worse than this
In beds in little rooms in buildings in the middle
of these lives which are completely meaningless
Help me stay awake, I'm falling...
Asleep in perfect blue buildings
Beside the green apple sea
Gonna get me a little oblivion
Try to keep myself away from myself and me
I got bones beneath my skin, and mister...
There's a skeleton in every man's house
Beneath the dust and love and sweat that
hangs on everybody
There's a dead man trying to get out
Please help me stay awake, I'm falling...
Asleep in perfect blue buildings
Beside the green apple sea
Gonna get me a little oblivion baby
Try to keep myself away from me(/zitat)
(zitat)Nightswimming
R.E.M
Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
The photograph on the dashboard, taken years ago,
turned around backwards so the windshield shows.
Every streetlight reveals the picture in reverse.
Still, it's so much clearer.
I forgot my shirt at the water's edge.
The moon is low tonight.
Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
I'm not sure all these people understand.
It's not like years ago,
The fear of getting caught,
of recklessness and water.
They cannot see me naked.
These things, they go away,
replaced by everyday.
Nightswimming, remembering that night.
September's coming soon.
I'm pining for the moon.
And what if there were two
Side by side in orbit
Around the fairest sun?
That bright, tight forever drum
could not describe nightswimming.
You, I thought I knew you.
You I cannot judge.
You, I thought you knew me,
this one laughing quietly underneath my breath.
Nightswimming.
The photograph reflects,
every streetlight a reminder.
Nightswimming deserves a quiet night, deserves a quiet night.(/zitat)
Das untere gefällt mir besonders gut.Die Texte von Marillion sind besonders schön, hat mir ein Freund empfohlen.Überhaupt bin ich momentan auch eher in romantischen Spähren zu finden.:-)
lieben Gruß,
